About

Arminal Dare-Bryan can trace her family history back to 1620; she is a direct descendent of the pilgrim voyagers John Alden and Priscilla Mullins. Born near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Arminal graduated from Earlham College, Indiana in 1965 with B.A. in French and History.

After moving to the UK in 1966, she worked as a program planner for ABC Television (now known as ITV), tutored A-Level French and provided proof reading and editing services for individuals and small publishers. In 1988, she qualified as a psychoanalytic therapist, receiving a diploma from the Westminster Pastoral Foundation in Kensington, London.

Since retiring in 2008 and becoming a grandmother of four, Arminal has worked on marrying her internet in American history with her love of literary fiction. Her first novel tells the story of her ancestors’ journey to America on the Mayflower and their struggles during the subsequent settlement.
